The Horizon, contemporary figurative mixed-media artwork on linen by Montreal artist Nathalie Nicole Boutin.

What calls us.

The figure turns toward an undefined space, as if listening to a silent call. Transfers of pastel, water, and acrylic build in translucent nuances, allowing the linen to remain visible. More open and dissolved areas suggest movement, breath, and possibility.

Like an inner horizon, this call is never fully revealed. It is felt through the traces, tensions, and silences within the work.

The Horizon extends Inner Landscapes as an invitation: what calls us beyond what we see.
